 The press release, the PRIME MINISTER’s office (PMO)  said that the CBSE  will prepare the results of the class 12 exams as per  well defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner   and the decision was taken in the interest of students and PM Modi says that we do not give more stress of the students in the pandemic time.

 




The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by the prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government on Tuesday decided to cancel the class 12 board exam of the Central Board Of Secondary Education in the view of ongoing covid -19 situation in the country.

 PM Modi says that this is a student's friendly decision taken after the meeting, the results to be made as per well defined objective criteria, and the class 12th results will be finalised in a time-bound manner,  those wanting to take an exam can do so when the situation is conducive, PM MODI also said that students mustn’t be forced to appear for the exam in a stressful situation  he added that exams can’t be  the reason to put youth at risk  FURTHER SAID THAT health and safety of our utmost importance and there would be no compromise on this aspect.

After the decision taken by the prime minister; Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal who earlier in the day requested the central government  to cancel the exam was among the  first leaders to welcome the decision, I am glad  class 12h exam have been cancelled, all of us  were very worried, about the  health of our children, a big relief, Kejriwal tweeted almost immediately after the announcement was made by the central. and good for parents 

 On the April 14 CBSE issued a notification class 10  exam, while postponing the class 12 exam  as the second covid -19 wave the council for Indian school certificate examinations issued similar notification  also the last month and the  union minister Ramesh Pokhriyal NIshank chaired a meeting with the state education  minister and other stakeholders to decide upon the fate  of the class 12 exam and after the meeting which is also reported to have ended, inconclusively  Pokhriyal said that an informed and collective decision would be taken by June 1

And he  was admitted to  the All India institute of medical sciences with post covid complications.

 On Monday the centre informed the supreme court that a decision on cancellation of a class, 12 exam would be taken in  next two days,  the court  which deferred the hearing to Tuesday  took up a plea seeking cancelling of the exam due to covid in the country.

 CBSC will now take steps to prepare the results of the class 12th students will be with in time rame through a  transparent alternative process for a result.

 The governments a decision will give a big relief to about  12 lakh students and 4 lakh  ICSCE students who are going to appear for CBSE  12th examination this year 12 lakh students of class X will be able to pass without appearing for the examination.

 In the meeting he was briefed on the suggestions  received from various states  and stakeholder  and various  options coming out of the wide range discussion  with the union ministers Amit shah , Prakash Javadekar , Piyush goyal , Dharmendra Pradhan n, Nirmala sitaraman  were  present at meeting to hold on video conferencing several senior officials of the ministry of education and also, attend the function.

 In the earlier  after the high-level meeting chaired by defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh  on the may 23 union minister DR Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had said that a final decision  on  the exam will be taken on or before 1 June, the government also told the supreme court on Monday that a decision on that 12th board exam will be taken within two days but he was admitted AIIMS FOR  post  covid problem.
